| None of the walls of this huge amphitheatre have survived. The houses that you
can see on its rim where built in the Middle Ages. The walls retain the
elliptical design of the original Roman Construction and define its breadth.

| This was built in the first century. Its six fluted columns are surmounted by
delicate capitals in the Corinthian style. The beautiful harmony of its lines
and the good state of preservation make this temple one of the most admired of
all Roman monuments.

| This ancient Roman square contains the Temple of Minerva together with other
principal monuments. It retains the original floor tiling, and the numerous
finds, among them statues, sarcophagi, memorial stones, and fragments of
sculptures of considerable interest.
